Khadija bint Khuwailid, The first mother of the believers
Khadija bint Khuwailid was the first mother of the believers. “By Allah, Allah has never replaced her with a better one. She believed me when all people disbelieved me. She supported me with her money when everyone denied me theirs. she bore me my children.”
Khadija managed to prepare and secure a quiet house for prophet Mohammad. She helped him reflect and practice meditation in the cave of Hira, before reciving the revelation of the Holy Quran.. Moreover, Khadija was the first believer in prophet Mohammad and the Holy Quran. She supported prophet Mohammad with herself, money and people. Her life was all charity. Khadija was the true model for a Muslim woman. She was loyal, truthful and obedient to prophet Mohammad till the last day of her virtuous life. May Allah reward Khadija for her support to prophet Mohammad and his companions.
Allah sends greetings to Khadija via Jibril
Once, Jibril came to prophet mohammad, revealing the Holy Quran, and told him that Khadija would come carrying food and drink. Jbril told prophet Mohammad to convey His greetings to her, promising her a house in paradise. This was because Khadija was the first pioneer in Islam. She held the banner of the Islamic call side by side with spending her money to serve Islam. Prophet Mohammad used to meet Jibril often nobody would believe what was happening to him. However, only Khadija confidently believed prophet Mohammad. When prophet Mohammad arrived home, scared after his first meeting with Jibril, she comforted him. She assured him that he was the long anticipated last prophet.
The value and grand status of Khadija
Muslim students of Islamic studies learn that Khadija never mocked or belittled her husband, prophet Mohammad. She even surpassed the four rightly guided Khalifas. She was one of the greatest blessings to prophet Mohammad. She lived with him for twenty-five years. She supported him in times of need. she packed him in the most critical times. She spent her time and life for the success of the prophet’s call. Khadija was the dearest wife to prophet mohammad’s heart. he did not marry until she had died. he always remembered her big hands throughout his life. lady Aisha used to feel jealous of Khadija despite khadija’s death long before.
