introduction:

prophet sulaiman

Prophet Sulaiman got knowledge and wisdom at a late age. Historically, Sulaiman’s father, Dawood, died when Sulaiman was twelve years old. Allah gave Sulaiman what Allah did not give to any other human. Muslim kids learn that Four years later,, he built Jerusalem. Consequently, this was according to his father’s will. So, he went on building it for seven years. He finished building it eleven years after assuming power. Afterwards, he began to build the headquarters of his kingdom in Jerusalem. He kept building it for thirteen years.

The miracles of prophet sulaiman:

Islamic studies teach us that the wind obeyed him. Moreover, it was a good , not harmful wind. ICertainly, i obeyed him as long as he lived. Therefore, he would direct it seawards and landwards to wherever he liked. It brought in the rainy clouds. It sailed the ships at sea. Allah also subdued the jinn for him. Allah said

Prophet Mohammad taught us that the jinn would carry out his commands. So, he would give them the commands to do whatever tasks and jobs he wished. Therefore, they built him civilization, altars, water wells, tall buildings, and carved statues. Historically, this was permissible in his time. Moreover, Allah gave Sulaiman a well of molten brass which ran for three days. As a result, Sulaiman used that molten brass in making weapons and other industries. Practically, the jinn would take that molten brass and manufacture it the way Sulaiman ordered them to do. In addition, Sulaiman could communicate with non-human creatures. He could communicate with birds, animals and inanimate things.

Sulaiman and the queen of Sheba:

One day, Sulaiman looked for the hoopoe. He couldn’t find it.

Suddenly, it appeared at last. It brought Sulaiman the news of a group of people worshiping the sun.

Consequently, Sulaiman wrote a message starting with bismillah al-rahman al-rahem. Sulaiman ordered the hoopoe to drop the letter upon those people. When the queen received the message, she read it and summoned her advisors and asked for advice. Allah said:

(It is from Solomon, and it is in the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful)

Her people gave her the mandate to act as she liked. Therefore, she decided to send Sulaiman a present so that Sulaiman might not invade her country. When Sulaiman saw the present, he ordered it to be returned back to the queen. When she saw her returned present, she knew that Sulaiman was undefeated. Afterwards, she decided to go to Sulaiman. Sulaiman had ordered his soldiers to fetch her throne. He ordered them to do a slight modification to the throne. When she saw the throne, Sulaiman asked her if it was hers. She said it was almost. At that point, she realized that Sulaiman was a true prophet. She, along with her soldiers, embraced Islam.

Sulaiman’s death:

Sulaiman was leaning on his cane. He died in such a state. He was in that position for a long time. no one knew about his death. The ground insect ate up his cane. Therefore, Sulaiman’s dead body collapsed. humans and the jinn eventually knew about his death. This proves that the jinn do not know the unknown. Allah said .
